How two moms created Playdate to make fun activities more accessible for families in Lebanon.
Hi, it's so nice to meet you!
I'm Lama, living the mom life in Lebanon.
Motherhood was overwhelming at first, but over time I started finding joy in it. Planning fun outings with my girls became a way to recharge and connect. Along the way, I fell in love with photography so I started my blog Wanderland.lb to inspire other parents with kid-friendly ideas.
What began as a fun page quickly grew into a go to guide for family activities & events in Lebanon. That’s when I thought: why not make it even easier to use?
I'm Amar, a new mom and an expat.
Every time I come back to Lebanon with my son, I struggle to find things to do with him. I ask friends, check Instagram, search online… and somehow still miss events or find out about new places right before we leave. There are always cool new spots opening, but it’s hard to keep track.
That's when I thought, why isn't there one platform that has everything happening for kids?
We connected through social media, sharing similar interests in kids' activities, and decided to team up for this exciting project.
And That's how Playdate was born.
We simply wanted to make things easier for parents and honestly, for ourselves too.
So, we took it a step further and developed an app to help parents easily find amazing playgrounds and kids' events across Lebanon.
